Well, the first week of the new year is slowly coming to an end. And I mean very slowly.
For whatever reason, in this post of random facts, I added a lot of interesting phobias into the mix of random and useless facts. Which makes these facts in general a lot less random though. But some phobias are really interesting, you must admit. Anyway, onto todays twenty facts :)

- Ambulophobia – the fear of walking
- From the age of thirty, humans gradually begin to shrink in size.
- February 1865 is the only month in recorded history not to have a full moon.
- Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia – the fear of long words
- Spain literally means ‘the land of rabbits.
- During World War II, W.C. Fields kept US $50,000 in Germany ‘in case the little bastard wins’.
- Lady Astor once told Winston Churchill ‘if you were my husband, I would poison your coffee’. His reply ‘ if you were my wife, I would drink it!’
- Peladophobia – the fear of bald people
- Earth is the only planet not named after a God.
- The average person’s left hand does 56% of the typing.
- Some Eskimos have been known to use refrigerators to keep their food from freezing.
- Metrophobia – the fear of poetry
- Leonardo De Vinci invented the scissors.
- Every time you lick a stamp, you’re consuming 1/10 of a calorie!
- Anablephobia – the fear of looking up
- Red is the most commonly colored vehical involved in accidents each year.
- The swastika was origionaly a symbol of peace and honor and is still used by Buddhists today.
- Peanuts are one of the ingredients of dynamite.
- Shakespeare invented the words “assassination” and “bump.”

I strongly agree. I would expect rare and odd chemicals and plants and such – but….peanut butter? Heh.

hmmmm. wondering when you find time in your busy day to acquire all these facts. perchance you should channel some of this energy into other areas. One comes to mind–cleanliness. Nice words only plezz

Actually, about a month or so ago I spent a few hours scouring the internet and books for interesting facts on random subjects that I enjoyed.
And I’ll keep my words clean when that’s called for :)
